THE PROCESS IS PRETTY SIMPLE REALLY...

First I will ask for a detailed synopsis, or an excerpt from your manuscript for reference. You may also share your ideas, important themes and symbols that convey the tone you’re looking for. Some authors have specific ideas for their covers, while some give me general thoughts on the design and just let me run with it to see what I come up with. Once I have all the information needed and we’ve agreed that I will design your cover, I will send you an invoice for the deposit through paypal. Once payment is received, I will put together a first draft and the creative process begins.

I do what is called photo manipulation/blending which most times consists of several photos blended together to create the perfect cover image. With that being said, what I do not do is hand draw or illustrations (unfortunately this is not my forte') but that's okay....we got this!

From there we will work together through your revisions

(if any are needed) to fine-tune your cover. The time between the first draft and the final cover depends on the depth of revisions, but usually takes about a week.

The look and layout of a book cover is not completely random. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. As a book cover designer I am responsible for representing the nature, spirit and gist of your penned manuscript. Authors and publishers depend on me to create perfect eye-catching designs which will capture the attention of your target audience. Having the ability to see the "Big Picture" with just a few words, and a lot of imagination, enable me, as the designer to create a vivid visual representation of what lies beneath the cover. I'm sure you know most of this already, but a refresher course is always a good thing.

So often we hear "you can’t judge a book by it's cover." While this might sound very true... it's so very wrong.

Given the fact that I put my heart and soul into your cover, in reality, it’s only a representation of what’s inside. And even though I sit for hours in front of a computer screen until my eyes hurt, we all know the purpose of the cover is to make the reader pick up your book for the words inside rather than sit and gaze at my 'masterpiece'.

I'm not only a book cover designer, but an author as well. With that being said, you and I both know the importance of getting 'our baby' noticed!

Capture readers attention and sell more books with an eye-catching cover!

My job is to make it look presentable on the outside and yours is.. knocking them out with a killer story!
